Under the Patronage of "Mother of the Nation": "The Role of Judiciary in Social Stability" Conference Brings Together Arab and European Legal Experts in Abu Dhabi

Under the Gracious Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, ”UM AlEmarat ” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the Ministry of Justice, in cooperation with the General Women’s Union and in partnership with Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, organized the Conference on “The Role of the Judiciary in Societal Stability”. The conference was held over two days, from May 28 to 29, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Women’s Union.

The conference was attended by His Excellency Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice, Mubarak Ali Abdullah Al Neyadi, the Secretary general of the Ministry of Justice, along with a distinguished group of legal advisors and experts. It also welcomed several leaders and officials from federal, local, and international institutions concerned with society and family affairs, both from within the UAE and from various European and Arab countries.
Members of the Euro-Arab Judicial Training Network from outside the UAE were invited, representing several European and Arab countries including Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine. The Network serves as an interactive international platform for dialogue and the exchange of expertise and best practices in supporting family stability—recognized as the fundamental unit of society and the cornerstone for building stable and conscious future generations.
Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Al Kamali, Chairman of the Euro-Arab Judicial Training Network and Director General of the Judicial Training Institute, affirmed that the Institute is committed to continuously promoting and disseminating legal awareness. This is achieved through organizing lectures, seminars, and specialized workshops throughout the year, given their importance in strengthening family balance, preventing fragmentation, and empowering community members with knowledge of their rights and responsibilities.

He added that the conference included representatives from all federal and local entities involved in judicial and family affairs.
On the first day, the conference addressed topics related to regulatory legislation and judicial applications for societal stability, with a focus on the judiciary’s role in family stability.
On the second day, discussions revolved around best practices in community protection and practical approaches to achieving family stability.
On the sidelines of the conference, participating delegations were also taken on a visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
